Boidurjo Mukhopadhyay

Boidurjo Mukhopadhyay also known as Boidurjo Rick Mukhopadhyay is an UK-based Management Economist, Author, Musician and a Social Entrepreneur. He has received ''multiple gold medals''〔Gold medal〕 from Universities in India for his academic performances and contributions to Economics, Business Management and Rural Development since he was 20. He has published over 40 articles on international development (on women empowerment, child labor, global warming, poverty and social protection), sustainable development management (mostly on renewable energy technologies, rural entrepreneurship, climate change adaptation and mitigation) and economic policies (international trade, aid and impact evaluation). He has delivered several motivational lectures on management disciplines in several European Universities, especially conducted longest running Leadership workshops (500 mins). At present, he teaches at the school of Business, Management and Economics at the University of Sussex, Brighton (UK), where he was recently awarded an 'Oscar' for 'Best Seminar Tutor' category. besides being involved in several international organisations such as World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, UNHCR and some US Universities.
==Early life==
Boidurjo is the son of Dr. Bibhas Mukhopadhyay, renowned Indian Economist and Author of ''"India's Economy: Under a Tinsel still tough"'' and Dr. Bijaya Mukhopadhyay, eminent Bengali literatteur and Author of ''"Onno Ordho Onno Vabhna", "Onubove Asom"'', editor of ''"Suchetana Samakal"''. He grew up in Calcutta, West Bengal where he received his early education before moving out to Guwahati, Assam continuing with his alma mater at Gauhati University from where he received his first gold medal in Economics followed by his second gold medal in Business Management. He was also awarded the University Grants Commission PG Scholarship by Govt. of India. His hometown is in Uttarpara,〔Uttarpara〕 which is historic town situated by the river Ganges in West Bengal.
